My Father’s Cigars

My Father and Belgian Ale

First up, Flor de las Antilles Belicoso ($9.95) is medium bodied with aromatic spice and a bit of white pepper on the start. This goes with Delirium Tremens, a blegian triple voted best beer in the world at the recent Beer Cup.  If that doesn’t set your taste buds, then Don Pepine Garcia Cuban classic Toro ($10.95) which is  medium to full bodied with notes of coffee, leather and earth.  You’ll want to pair this with Lost Abbey “Devotion”, a belgian style blond ale that has a floral sweetness balanced with a nutty richness.  To round out the line, go to the My Father Le Bijou 1922 Belicoso ($14.95).  This is a full bodied smoke with the same aromatic spice with hints of leather and cedar that goes perfectly with Stone Brewing “Sublimely Sell Righteous” ale that has a dark malty sweetness with a really hoppy finish.
